Items of plant to be registered

The following items of plant from Schedule 7 of the Workplace Health and Safety Regulations 1998 require registration:

  • Boilers with a hazard level of A, B or C according to the criteria specified in AS4343.
  • Pressure vessels with a hazard level of A, B or C according to the criteria specified in AS4343.
  • Tower cranes.
  • Lifts, escalators and moving walks.
  • Building maintenance units.
  • Amusement structures, other than Class 1 structures, covered by AS3533.
  • Truck-mounted concrete placing units with booms.
  • Mobile crane with a safe working load exceeding 10.0 tonnes.
  • Mine winders.
  • Boom-type elevating work platforms.
  • Vehicle hoists.
  • Hoists which have a platform movement in excess of 2.4 m and support or are designed to lift people.

This licence is mandated under the Workplace Health and Safety Act 1995

Duration: Life of plant, unless there is a change of owner, plant is relocated or there is a change to the design.
