Pressure Equipment Certificate of Competency

Important Changes to Certificates of Competency

Certificate Details:

A Certificate of Competency or Licence to Perform High Risk Licence must be held by any person operating pressure equipment referenced in Schedule 5 of the Workplace Health and Safety Regulations 1998 and defined in the National Occupational Health and Safety Standard for Users and Operators of Industrial Equipment [NOHSC: 1006(2001)] issued by Worksafe Australia.
Endorsements include

  • Boiler operation - basic 
  • Boiler operation - intermediate 
  • Boiler operation - advanced 
  • Reciprocating steam engine operation 
  • Turbine operation

These certificates and licences are nationally portable. That is, certificates and licenses issued in Tasmania can be used in any State or Territory.
