If you currently hold a National Certificate of Competency plastic card, containing one or more classes, you can transfer these classes to a Licence to Perform High Risk Work.
To transfer your existing class(es) you must record your current certificate number on the application form in Part D. Details of other OH&S Certificates of Competency or Licences.
All existing Certificates of Competency cards will expire on specified dates (see below). If you wish to continue working in the current held classes then you will be required to transfer your Certificate of Competency to a Licence to Perform High Risk Work no later than the expiry date specified under Schedule 13 of the Workplace Health and Safety Regulations 1998.
If you currently hold a Tasmanian Old Style certificate(s) you can apply to transfer the class(es) on the certificate(s) to a Licence to Perform High Risk Work. Not all Old Style classes can be transferred to a Licence to Perform High Risk Work. Please contact the Helpline (details below) for more information on Old Style classes that can be transferred to a Licence to Perform High Risk Work.
Please note: Old Style Certificates issued before 31 December 1995 expired on 1 July 2008.
To transfer your existing Old Style certificate(s) classes you must record your certificate numbers on the application form in Part D. Details of other OH&S Certificates of Competency or Licences. Workplace Standards Tasmania will verify your current Old Style classes and update your new Licence to Perform High Risk Work where possible.
