4. How to apply
Prior to applying for a new Licence to Perform High Risk Work or applying to have an additional class added to a Licence to Perform High Risk Work, you must have successfully completed training and a competency assessment with an Assessor in the class of High Risk Work, you wish to apply for:
To apply for a Licence to Perform High Risk Work you must:
- For a new applicant, be at least 18 years of age on the date you undertook competency assessment and reside in Tasmania.
- Have undertaken training in the workplace under the supervision of a person licensed (or the holder of a current certificate of competency) in the required class of High Risk Work or undertake a training course in the required class.
- Apply to a Tasmanian registered Licence Assessor to be assessed in the class(es) of high risk work required. On successful completion of the assessment you will be provided with an Interim Licence stating that you are competent to work in the required class of High Risk Work.
