
Quantities that are handled in less than placarding quantities specified for dangerous goods in Schedule I to the National Standard are referred to in the National Standard and the Regulations as ‘minor quantities’.
Even in minor quantities dangerous substances present risks to health, safety, security and the environment if not handled carefully. The legislation refers to taking 'reasonable precautions'.
Regulations 24 – 26 of the Regulations prescribe how occupiers are to deal with minor quantities of dangerous substances that are handled in
