National Standards and Codes

The Dangerous Substances (Safe Handling) Act 2005 is based upon the NOHSC National Standards for the

• Storage and Handling of Workplace Dangerous Goods [NOHSC:1015(2001)]
• Control of Major Hazard Facilities [NOHSC:1014(2002)]

Both these National Standards have associated National Codes of Practice and these provide greater detailed guidance to help you comply with your safety obligations under the Act.
