Amendments to the Gas (Safety) Regulations 2002The former Dangerous Goods (General) Regulations 1998, administered by WST, amongst other provisions, regulated the automotive gasfitting industry and contained some provisions regulating the liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) industry. These regulations were rescinded on 1 July 2009, following the commencement of the Dangerous Substances (Safe Handling) Regulations 2009. Advice from Parliamentary Counsel at that time was that it was not appropriate to include the LPG and automotive gasfitting provisions in the Dangerous Substances (Safe Handling) Regulations 2009. |
