Mutual recognition
Practitioner’s licence held in another State or Territory of Australia or New Zealand
A licence may be issued in Tasmania under a Mutual Recognition Agreement, however this is only possible if a current equivalent licence exists in another jurisdiction. The agreement includes all licensing jurisdictions in Australia and New Zealand.
The following documentation must accompany the practitioner’s licence application
- A photocopy (both sides) of your current equivalent licence issued in another State or Territory of Australia or New Zealand
- Original passport photo certified by a Justice of the Peace or Commissioner of Declarations (this photo will appear on your ID card)
- A photocopy of your current driver’s licence
