Evidence of Identity

When submitting your licence application you must establish evidence of identity. To do this, you must provide original and current documentation to the Service Tasmania Customer Service Operation (CSO).
You must provide one document from Category A and one document from Category B.

Australian Birth Certificate (not an extract)

Australian Driver’s Licence

Australian Passport

Firearm Licence

Citizenship Certificate

Overseas Passport

Australian Visa

Credit or Bank Account Card

Document of Identity
(Dept of Foreign Affairs and Trade issued travel documents)

Centrelink or DVA Card

Certificate of Evidence of Resident Status
(Dept of Immigration and Citizenship)

Australian Trade Certificate

Certificate of Identity
(Dept of Immigration and Citizen)

Australian Marriage Certificate
