1. What is a licence to perform high risk work?
A Licence to Perform High Risk Work is a licence issued by Workplace Standards Tasmania under the Workplace Health and Safety Regulations 1998 and other State and Territory authorities (under various licence names and regulations). You are required to hold a Licence to Perform High Risk Work if you operate or perform any of the following tasks:
- Crane operator
- Boom-type elevating work platform
- Concrete placing boom
- Hoists
- Scaffolding
- Fork lift truck
- Rigging or dogging
