Gas Distribution Facilities
A person who proposes to construct a facility must submit to the Director of Gas Safety independent certification by a person approved by the Director that the design of the facility conforms to any relevant standard determined by the Director.

Gas Pipeline (Transmission)
Gas standards and codes prescribed in the Gas Pipelines Regulations 2000 applicable for gas pipelines designed, constructed and operating to the requirements of Australian Standard 2885 Pipelines – Gas and Liquid Petroleum are included in schedule 1 of the regulations.
Gas Pipeline Facilities
A pipeline facility used to extract, treat or store gas. Gas standards and codes prescribed in the Gas Pipelines Regulations 2000 applicable for gas pipeline facilities are included in schedule 2 of the regulations.
