Practitioner's Licences

Are issued to those meeting eligibility requirements and entitle the holder to perform electrical work in accordance with the class of licence.

Applicant(s) must be ‘fit and proper’ to be granted a licence.

Practitioners who undertake gratuitous work must be covered by insurance as required by the Occupational Licensing General Insurance Notice 2008

Restricted Electrical Work
  • Restricted electrical work licence – Refrigeration and Air Conditioning

  • Restricted electrical work licence – Instrumentation
  • Restricted electrical work licence – Electronics
  • Restricted electrical work licence – Water heaters 
  • Restricted electrical work licence – Pre-assembled neon signs
  • Restricted electrical work licence – Composite equipment
  • Restricted electrical work licence – Control devices
  • Restricted electrical work licence – Gas appliances
  • Restricted electrical work licence – Motors
  • Restricted electrical work licence – Explosion protection equipment
