The Director of Building has approved Forms for use by councils, Accredited Building Practitioners and owners for matters such as

  • applications for permits
  • issuing of permits or certificates
  • making requests for reports 
  • compliance by issuing of Notices, Directions and Orders

Director's Determination - Certificates of others

Permit authorities, building surveyors or general managers may rely on a Certificate of Others issued by persons who have the accreditation, qualifications and insurance prescribed by the Director in this Determination. These include experts in areas such as engineering, architectural design, electrical, hydraulic or mechanical building services, geotechnical reports, or the design of on-site wastewater management systems.

Director's Specified lists

A number of sections of the Building Act 2000, Building Regulations 2004 and the Plumbing Regulations 2004 require that certain detailed matters including time periods and required documents be specified by the Director of Building Control. The 'Directors Specified List' contains a list of all the matters that are required to be specified.
